In this particular Request for Proposals (RFP), we are seeking proposals from organizations located in and/or are primarily focused on serving Bullitt County residents and families. Applicant organizations are not required to have a pre-existing relationship with Metro United Way. They must, however, be able to demonstrate effectiveness at creating community impact in one or more of the following areas:
Thriving Kids:
- Creating a seamless system of supports for children ages birth to 5 and their families ensuring all children enter kindergarten ready to thrive;
- Building a positive system of resources, supports, and opportunities to ensure the success of all young people ages 6-24;
Strong Households:
- Meaningfully influencing household financial stability through strategies that increase earned income; increase retained income; or increase capital for under-resourced entrepreneurs;
- Meeting the urgent health and basic needs of individuals and families;
- Creating and sustaining effective and efficient cross-sector coordination among service providers to meet the needs of individuals and families.
Equitable Communities:
- Leading initiatives specifically designed to lift under-resourced neighborhoods and communities
Eligibility Criteria
- The Internal Revenue Service has ruled the applicant to be a federally recognized tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization or the organization has an application in process and a fiduciary agent.
- The applicant is seeking funds for programs, services, or strategies focused on Education, Economic Mobility, or Health in Bullitt County, KY.
- The applicant must be able to comply with MUW’s Grant Agreement (download).
- Organizations may submit more than one application per agency for this particular Metro United Way funding opportunity.
