A new initiative in our community – Healthy Babies Louisville – recently launched that helps provide better care and support of babies, children of all ages, and their families. Metro United Way is excited to participate in this new collective impact initiative, concentrating on reducing infant mortality and improving birth outcomes in our community.

The work of Healthy Babies Louisville will focus on:

• Access to healthcare for adults and teens
• Mental/behavioral wellness and substance abuse prevention and treatment
• Father support
• Healthy behaviors among families

Our 2-1-1 Information & Referral Service serves as a central access point to provide the public with information on these resources, making finding them as easy as a single phone call or online click!

Since Metro United Way launched our 2-1-1 Information and Referral Service in 2006, it has been used by over 500,000 people searching for resources. This important service helps individuals find the resources they need in order to ensure everyone has the opportunity for a better life. The 2-1-1 partner network of services continues to expand to support the building blocks of a good quality of life – education, health and financial stability – to help individuals and families achieve their fullest potential and our community stronger.
