Books & Barbershops

Barbers wanted

As part of our Black Male Achievement initiative, Metro United Way is partnering with barbers in our local neighborhoods to provide reading nooks with books for our children, because early grade reading is one of the best predictors of children’s success in school, work and life. With books that reflect the diversity of our community, children will find worlds they recognize and inspiration to dream of those they don’t!
