Describe what you do at Metro United Way:
My role as Senior Manager of Regional Community Giving is to develop and execute Metro United Way's fundraising and relationship management goals in Southern Indiana. More simply, I'm tasked with raising awareness of our work in Clark, Floyd and Harrison counties and developing relationships and raising resources to support that work.
What makes Metro United Way stand out as an employer?
I've been a member of the Metro United Way Staff for just over 13 years. The reach and impact we have in the community is significant! In addition, Metro United Way has made work/life balance a priority and I appreciate that as a working mom. Plus, I work with some pretty awesome people!
What are some of the highlights working for Metro United Way?
The most significant highlight is working with some of the most amazing and dedicated volunteers in our community. Their commitment to improving lives is inspiring and we couldn't do our work without them.
What has been your biggest accomplishment during your time so far at Metro United Way?
My biggest accomplishment is meeting our annual campaign goal. Raising money isn't easy, but it's very rewarding when you know those extra resources will make a difference in your community.
How do you view your role in our community?
I view my role as a face of Metro United Way in Southern Indiana and an Ambassador of our work. I get to help people meet their charitable giving goals, inform folks about services available in the community and help form connections.
