Community Impact Award Descriptions:

• Community Cornerstone Award – recognizes a company who is ‘all-in’ in its support of Metro United Way, generating community impact through its fundraising efforts, leadership and employee engagement, and volunteer participation.
• Game Changer Award – recognizes a nonprofit partner who, in partnership with Metro United Way, is changing lives and our community through innovation, leadership, persistence, and passion.
• Changing the Narrative Award – recognizes a company, organization, or individual that has been critical in advancing Metro United Way’s ability to raise awareness of equity-related issues and help improve equitable outcomes in the community through contributions of time, energy, ideas, and financial support.
• Sullivan Service Award – recognizes a company, organization, or individual who has demonstrated extraordinary generosity with their time and talent and made a significant community impact through volunteer service. This special award is named in honor of former MUW volunteer engagement leader Mary Sullivan, who was the heart and soul of service in our community for more than 40 years.
• Using Your Voice Award – recognizes an individual or organization that has been instrumental in advancing policy solutions that create lasting systemic changes that address the root causes of social and economic issues in our communities.
• Metro United Way Lifetime Achievement Award –
  The Metro United Way Lifetime Achievement Award honors an extraordinary individual or couple whose lifelong dedication, leadership, and service have made a profound and lasting impact on our community. This prestigious award recognizes those who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to philanthropy, volunteerism, and advocacy, embodying the core values of Metro United Way.Recipients of this award have spent decades championing causes that uplift individuals and families, strengthen local organizations, support community growth, and drive meaningful, sustainable change. Their efforts have inspired others to take action, fostered collaboration across sectors, and created a legacy of compassion and progress.

  Through their vision, generosity, and relentless pursuit of equity and opportunity for all, honorees of the Metro United Way Lifetime Achievement Award leave an indelible mark on the Greater Louisville region, one that will be felt for generations to come.
