Build-a-Bed

Metro United Way unites and empowers communities by harnessing the power of donors, volunteers, thought leaders, experts, other nonprofits and government at all levels to ensure positive, sustainable change across our seven-county region.

In Southern Indiana, we work to address basic needs through Build-A-Bed which provides beds and supplies to kids that don’t have a bed of their own. We also advocate for kids and families through public policy, invest in early care and education initiatives to prepare kids for school, help ensure individuals have resources, jobs, and training for financial independence, and address other health and basic needs.

Hey! I’ve been volunteering today at Build-A-Bed and it’s been AMAZING. I didn’t realize there are so many kids in Southern Indiana that don’t have beds of their own. While here, we’re also raising money to support building more beds for kids in Clark, Floyd, and Harrison County as well as other health and basic needs with Metro United Way.
