In Bullitt County, we know that on average we have 300-400 children who are classified as homeless at some point throughout the school year. Whether they are living in garages, hotels, cars or couch surfing we know that this is not a sustainable way for children to thrive.
Metro United Way is committed to fighting for these children and families every day and with other community partners have spearheaded an effort to bring a shelter for women and children to Bullitt County – Housing First.
