Jennifer Adrio served MUW for 23 years.
Louisville, Ky. (Sept. 24, 2024) – Metro United Way is honoring a former beloved team member who is gone far too soon.
Jennifer Adrio was just 62 years old when she passed away in June of 2024. Earlier in her career, she worked at MUW for 23 years and was the nonprofit’s Chief Development Officer, leaving the post in August 2013.
She was a powerhouse with an infectious smile and laughter. Her leadership earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues.
During her tenure, Adrio led her team to raise more than $610 million to better our community!
In that spirit, MUW announces its new giving level, The Jennifer Adrio Society.
This giving level will serve as a permanent tribute to Jennifer, ensuring her contributions will never be forgotten and her name will always be associated with transformative generosity.
“Jennifer was a dynamic leader and community change agent,” said Jeremy Jarvi, current Chief Development Officer at Metro United Way. “She understood the art and science of philanthropy and served as a mentor to many, including myself. The Jennifer Adrio Society will inspire many individuals to make transformative investments in our region and ensure her legacy and impact will flourish.”
To become a member of the Jennifer Adrio Society, people must donate $100,000 or more annually to Metro United Way. Individuals who already give at this level are automatically welcomed into this esteemed group.
Members will become part of a network of philanthropic leaders who are engaged to create long-lasting, positive change. They will get invitations to MUW events, including Tocqueville Society activities, the Community Impact Awards, and more.
