A Special Thank You

The Greatest Give Back looked a lot different in 2021, but that didn’t stop you from making an impact in the community.

In January of 2020, the Muhammad Ali Center and Metro United Way partnered together on a new service initiative, The Greatest Give Back to honor Muhammad Ali’s birthday – January 17 – and to continue the Center’s annual tradition of providing acts of service on this day.

More than 450 individuals showed up and created 780 personal care kits, 780 healthy snack packs and 78 blankets to go to 25 partner agencies to celebrate The Champ’s 78th birthday.

In 2021, we want to help knock out more need in our community but as you know we all have a common opponent in COVID-19 so we won’t be hosting a large event as we did in the inaugural year. The second annual Greatest Give Back will look a little different but still give Muhammad Ali the greatest 79th birthday gift of all – service to others in the Louisville community.

Help us TKO need in our community that persisted before the pandemic and has only been exacerbated in 2020:

TIME

Brighten someone’s day using a little of your time and talent; create birthday and/or thinking of you cards. We want all of our neighbors to know how much they are cared for and celebrated. There are two options for participating below – choose one or both buttons below and let’s spread the love.

  1. Creating birthday cards for children and youth served by Family Scholar House, Maryhurst and Seven Counties Services – Bellewood and Brooklawn.
  2. Creating uplifting/positive cards for seniors receiving meals through the Louisville Metro Senior Nutrition Program.

Before you mail your cards, please take a picture of your work and share it with us on social media #TheGreatestGiveBack.

Thank you for helping us deliver cheer and goodwill in 2021!
